Twitter is debating whether or not Lizzo was in the wrong recently. In a video taken backstage at the Millennium Tour, she’s seen excitedly approaching Chris Brown.
“Can I get a picture with you?” Lizzo asks. “You my favorite person in the whole fucking world.”
She poses with Brown, even jokingly shooing away a friend who tries to hop in the photo. They wind up taking a group shot together afterward:
Twitter users have been going back and forth about if Lizzo should have posed with Brown, who has been a controversial figure in the music world for over a decade. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault against Rihanna in 2009, was accused of threatening a woman with a gun at his house in 2016, and faced rape allegations in 2019.
