ASAP Rocky released his 17-track album Don’t Be Dumb on January 16 and explicitly told fans to “ENJOY THE ALBUM, STOP ASKING FOR A DELUXE” via an Instagram comment. Despite that, he’s since dropped a brand-new track tied to the album, “FLACKITO JODYE,” featuring Dominican upstart Tokischa, and has further hinted at a deluxe project on X.
Over one year ago, the shoot for the video to “FLACKITO JODYE” was seen happening in Harlem with Rocky and Tokischa both present. However, nothing would drop except a leak of the track online. This song was one of many leaks that circulated online months ago. These leaks plagued Rocky’s rollout and were one of the main reasons Don’t Be Dumb continued being delayed.
The song is a dembow banger built around skeletal, sharp drums, a banging bassline, and an earworm of a repetitive chorus in which Rocky chants, “FLACKITO JODYE.” Flacko slithers over the beat with plenty of New York City references throughout his verse, rapping, “Harlem World like Mason Betha / Dembow, I'm a real New Yorker, to the Timbo.” Tokischa trades bars with Rocky on her verse, showcasing strong chemistry between the unexpected duo. As expected, she delivers in her signature shouty style. The Dominican artist continues to push dembow forward on a global scale, previously linking up with Ice Spice on “Thootie” and Sexyy Red on “Daddy,” two infectious, dembow-laced tracks.
This track’s release comes after the arrival of Rocky’s midweek projections from Hits Daily Double, which reported that Rocky and Bad Bunny are battling for the No. 1 spot, with projected sales of 119K and 120K units, respectively—Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS still gunning for the top spot more than a year after its release.
Perhaps the extra songs being released are meant to serve as a boost for Rocky’s sales, with Thursday being the official last day of tracking for the Billboard charts. An additional clue of Rocky’s goal of getting that number one is quietly adding the 2023 rendition of his track “I Smoked Away My Brain,” with Imogen Heap and Clams Casino, to the DBD track list which boasts over 766 million streams on Spotify.
Regardless, Rocky’s DBD seems to be getting a lot of love from fans as they swarmed his pop-up in New York City, and the album even got over 35 million streams in the first 24 hours of its release—the biggest of 2026. Rocky has also been spotted with Rihanna all around the city, as the couple recently welcomed their third child.
