Key Takeaways

  • Tickets for EsDeeKid NYC show are reselling for $800 to $1300 due to high demand.
  • EsDeeKid's popularity surged after his track “Phantom” went viral on TikTok, and because there are rumors that he's actually Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet.
  • UK rapper EsDeeKid has announced the 'REBEL' tour with stops in North America and Australia, including sold-out shows in New York City.

UK rapper EsDeeKid has had a meteoric rise in the past few months.

He’s capitalizing on his hype with a tour that will stop in New York City on February 6, 2026—but good luck getting a ticket. His NYC show sold out almost instantly and now resellers are now charging anywhere from $800 to $1300 on third-party websites to see him live at the Bowery Ballroom.

The high demand reflects just how big EsDeeKid’s buzz has gotten.

The rapper who, who hails from Liverpool, has become the talk of the internet over the past few weeks as his track “Phantom” dominates TikTok through lo-fi edits of Angelina Jolie and memes that have pulled tens of millions of views.

His rise started in June when he released his first album, Rebel. He now has over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, where he also has multiple songs on the Viral 50 - USA chart including "Phantom" and "LV Sandals."

His virality reached a new peak recently as fans theorized that the always masked-rapper might be Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet. (He's not.)

On November 11, EsDee announced the ‘REBEL’ tour via Instagram, which includes select dates across North America and Australia. There are only eight stops, including New York City, Montreal, and Brisbane.

Getting tickets to the shows has been a challenge. According to a screenshot shared on X by streamer 42CEO, more than 27,000 people were in line trying to buy tickets to EsDee’s February 12 Los Angeles show at the Echoplex. Montreal saw similarly long queues with more than 8,000 people in line, according to a post on @undergroundsound.uk on Instagram.

On X, fans have voiced their frustrations with trying to buy EsDeeKid tickets and how unreasonably high resale prices felt inevitable with so many people competing for limited seats.

One user wrote, “EsDeeKid NYC tickets sold out within a minute lol,” and followed up by saying, “@esdeekidd Please stop choosing sub 1k capacity venues when the ticket queues got thousands of people in them.”

Another said, “Paid 50 bucks Canadian for EsDeeKid tickets, THEYRE RESELLING FOR 5X THAT PRICE.”

EsDee responded to the high demand in New York City by adding a second show at The Hall at Elsewhere in Brooklyn. The tickets are cheaper, but they still run anywhere from $400 to $570 each.

Despite the demand, EsDee has kept the venues small. The Bowery Ballroom in New York City holds 600 people, and the Echoplex in Los Angeles only has capacity for 350. The limited supply explains the exorbitant resale prices.

The strategy seems to be working though as his name continues to rise. On November 22, EsDee opened for Yung Lean in the United Kingdom and has continued to rack up mainstream co-signs. Central Cee and Jack Harlow have posted themselves vibing to “Phantom” and “LV Sandals.” Yeat even shouted him out on social media and sent him a pair of his latest Nike Goadome boots.

As EsDee continues building hype for his tour, it might be the hottest show in New York City come February. But be ready to pay top-dollar if you want to see 2025’s biggest breakout rapper.
