Unless you're the type to dig around liner notes, it's unlikely that you've heard the name Gesaffelstein before this year. Chances are good that you are about to hear a lot more of the French record producer. Pharrell Williams has placed his ageless blessing upon him, jumping on a new video for the track "Blast Off" and the DJ premiered it after his set at Coachella.

Gesaffelstein has credits on the Yeezus standouts "Black Skinhead" and "Send It Up." He's also worked with artists like Daft Punk, The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky. But his latest album Hyperion and songs like "Blast Off" are his bid to go from studio rat to established solo artist. He even charted with his Weeknd-assisted single "Lost In The Fire" thanks in part to Abel's controversial lyrics that seemed to take shots at Drake.

Gesaffelstein isn't about to let that momentum die out, hence the new clip. Give it a watch up top.

Pharrell - "Happy (Kaytranada Edition)"

Kaytranada's music makes us happy, so it'd make sense that he'd drop a solid version of Pharrell's inescapable "Happy." Kaytranada's fuzzy bass is becoming a staple, providing such a solid groove that plays well with the drum-happy rhythm that he provided. Nothing too crazy; this isn't even really about "dancing," but something you can kick back and vibe to. With an appropriate number of friends, acquaintances, and liquor. Sunny afternoon music.
