Dr. Dre Tried to Clown Lori Loughlin, Forgetting He Made a $70 Million Donation to His Daughter's School

There's a reason that jokes become memes. It's hard to see someone getting dunked on by the entire internet via curated screenshots and gifs and not want to join in on the public shaming, even if you're sitting on a headphones fortune. So, we can forgive Dr. Dre for piling on Lori Loughlin while celebrating his daughter Truly's acceptance into USC sans shenanigans. However, Dre deleted his gleeful troll when someone pointed out that Dre's $70 million donation to the school probably didn't hurt her chances.

“My daughter got accepted into USC all on her own. No jail time!!!!” he wrote on Instagram, clearly not expecting the internet to bring tax-deductible receipts.

Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre donated $70 million to the school back in 2013 and USC used it to establish the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation. Commenters thought that Dre might have forgotten, so they all rushed to remind him.

To make matters worse, TMZ unearthed a post that seemed to indicate Truly didn't really want to go to USC. Last May, she shared that her father was pushing her to go to school where their name is on a building.

Getting roasted is less harsh than what Loughlin is facing. Unlike the Full House star, Dre's donation was 100 percent legitimate, so it's much less likely that federal agents will show up on his doorstep.
