Weezer is going for gold with their latest self-titled album, produced by Kenny Beats.

The veteran rock band’s Gold Album will arrive on August 21 via Reprise Records and Warner Records, marking the band's first full-length release since 2021's Van Weezer and OK Human, as well as the follow-up to their SZNZ EP series.

The record was produced by Klas Ählund and Kenny Beats (a.k.a Kenneth Blume), with Kenny saying he wanted to make "the most violent Weezer album ever,” according to a press release.

Kenny, who is most known for his hip-hop production for the likes of Rico Nasty, Zack Fox, Vince Staples and more, has ventured into producing for other genres with the creation of his new recording studio, Putnam Hill. Among albums recorded at the studio include the critically acclaimed Getting Killed by Geese, Mausoleum by Provoker, and the film score for 2025’s Lurker.

The release is tied to the upcoming Weezer: The Gathering tour which kicks off in September.
