Wale Denies ‘Preposterous' Rumor Diddy Dangled Him Over a Balcony for Working With Cassie

A representative for the rapper previously denied the claim in November 2023.

Wale denies a rumor that he was once dangled over a balcony by Diddy for allegedly flirting with Cassie.

In an interview with Atlanta’s the Morning Hustle radio show, the rapper was caught off guard when co-host Lore’l brought up the story.

"Your name was brought up in something with the Diddy situation," asked Lore'l, as seen in a clip of the interview circulating online.

"Why are you asking me about this stuff?" Wale responded, visibly frustrated.

Lore’l clarified that she wanted him to clear the air, which led Wale to respond with, “I never got an altercation with them. I've never been in an altercation with nobody in the industry. I've had close calls, but not him. Definitely. It was made up by somebody who was just trolling and it just went."

“That’s preposterous, man,” he added.

As of publishing time, the aforementioned interview with Wale does not appear on any of the Morning Hustle’s official social media accounts.

The balcony-dangling rumor stems from Ant Glizzy, a fellow D.C. rapper, who also claimed Shy Glizzy witnessed the alleged incident.

Wale’s team previously told TMZ in November 2023 that the story was completely fabricated and had similarities from a scene in the film The Five Heartbeats.

"Wale has never met Cassie or the author and was never involved in any type of altercation," said Wale’s rep at the time. "He wishes peace for everyone involved in the settlement."

Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial began on Monday, which included testimonies from witnesses of the mogul’s alleged “freak off” sexual encounters with Cassie.

One of those allegations included a claim that Diddy made a male escort urinate in her mouth.

Diddy’s trial is expected to last eight weeks. Check out all the answers to your questions about the high-profile case here.
