Travis Scott Concert Causes False Earthquake Alarms in Italy Yet Again as 80,000 Fans Attend Circus Maximus Tour

Locals mistook vibrations from the concert as earthquakes, similar to La Flame's show in Rome last August.

Travis Scott’s concert in Italy made history while the ground was shaking.

The 33-year-old rapper touched down in Milan on Tuesday night as part of his Circus Maximus Tour supporting 2023's Utopia.

More than 80,000 fans were in attendance at the show in the racecourse at the Ippodromo Snai La Maura. Even Milan locals who did not attend the show tweeted that they'd felt possible earthquakes during the concert, Billboard reports.

La Flame shared jaw-dropping footage of his performance on Instagram showing the massive crowd across the open field and the mosh pits that ensued.

“Last night was a dream. ‘No this isnt festival. This a show on the tou’ in the words of Stromberg. Milan yall owe me nothing,” Scott wrote in all caps on Wednesday. “Yall gave yall all 80k of yall had the best time ever. Circus Maximus. @whitetrashtyler was actually turnt about this 🎥🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎.”

During a tour stop in Rome last August, the jumping from Scott’s crowd of more than 60,000 fans caused an amount of seismic activity comparable to a 1.3-magnitude earthquake. The show took place at the Circus Maximus archaeological site.

Alfonsina Russo, an official at the Colosseum Archeological Park, expressed disappointment in comments to Italy's AGI news service. "The Circus Maximus is a monument. It is not a stadium, not a concert hall. These mega rock concerts put it at risk, including the Palatine Hill nearby," Russo said.

Trav's tour continues its Europe leg this summer with stops in Germany, Spain, and Portugal through Aug. 4. The Circus Maximus trek will visit Latin American countries including Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia before hitting the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Sept. 21.

Scott will return stateside for a single show at East Rutherford, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Oct. 9 before flying off to Oceania to perform in Australia and New Zealand through the end of October.
