Remy Ma’s son has been arrested and charged with murder.
The NYPD confirmed to Complex that Remy’s 23-year-old son, Jayson Scott, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon at the 113th precinct in Queens, New York. His charges include murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.
Another individual, 22-year-old Richard Swygert, was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
The arrests are reportedly linked to the murder of 47-year-old Darius Guillebeaux from Queens, who was fatally shot multiple times in his neighborhood on June 7, 2021.
Swygert was indicted for fatally shooting 22-year-old Dominic Malivert and injuring another person during an altercation at a karaoke bar in Queens in August 2021. According to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, the altercation stemmed from an argument over jewelry. Swygert is scheduled to appear in court next month for these charges.
Swygert was also arraigned in October 2021 for the murder of 20-year-old Robert Williams outside of the Umbrella Hotel in Kew Gardens that January, per Page Six.
An inmate search under NYC’s Department of Corrections website shows that Scott, Remy Ma's son, was also arrested last month and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
