Pleasure P says he wants what he’s owed after claiming to be a co-writer on Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop.”

During a recent Instagram Live, the 40-year-old former Pretty Ricky member claimed he had a hand in Wayne’s 2008 hit alongside the late Static Major.

“I wrote that,” said Pleasure P before naming other co-writers such as Rex Zamor, Mack Maine, and Jim Jonsin. “I need my fucking plaque for this song, bro … Y'all can do something about this shit but nobody care about me no more.”

He continued, “Rex [Zamor] got my publishing, and he got his name on this record, bro. And I can't get my just due. Before my first album came out, I wrote this song with Static.”

Pleasure P, born Marcus Ramone Cooper, added, “My son just got out of jail. Like, I ain't got time for this shit no more, bro. I'm 40 now. Just give me what I deserve, bro.”

He then went into the massive numbers generated by the hit song. “I'm a part of his biggest record. 1.3 million the first week," he added. "And I haven't been able to celebrate that. I wanted my money. Now what? 28 million dollars, I ain't get."

In 2023, Pleasure P talked about co-writing “Lollipop” on the Baller Alert Show with Static Major for his own album.

“Me and Static wrote it together. [It] came from, you know, one of them one of them nights at the club, messing around in the studio and stuff like that. And then we recorded it but I just didn't feel it fit,” he said around the 20 minute mark here.

He also claimed that “elements” of his songwriting remained on the final version of the track.

“Lollipop,” which served as the lead single for Tha Carter III, earned Weezy his first No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart, according to Billboard. The song would stay at the top of the chart for five non-consecutive weeks.

In 2022, “Lollipop” was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in recognition of 10 million singles sold in the U.S.
