UPDATED Feb. 7, 4:05 p.m. ET: Macy Gray denies the allegations that her son, Tracy Melvin Hinds, physically harmed her.

"Me and my son love each other and he would never think of causing me any physical harm,” said Gray, 56, in a statement via her representative to People on Tuesday. “Outside of that, like any family, we have our issues and we’re dealing with it."

In a series of messages shared to his Instagram Story, Tracy, 28, called the original report, “Fake news.”

“Diss track coming soon,” wrote Tracy, who is also a recording artist. “I’m actually a talented [person] trying to help my family.”

He did not address the temporary restraining order request from his sister Aanisah, 29, which she filed on Monday after Tracy allegedly “got into a physical altercation” with their mother on Saturday.

Macy Gray’s daughter Aanisah Hinds filed for a restraining order against her brother, Tracy Melvin Hinds, after he allegedly hit and threatened their mother.

Page Six reports that a court document filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles, California indicates Aanisah, 29, claimed Tracy, 28, was involved in a physical altercation with Gray on Saturday.. In the doc, she alleged that her brother “followed [Macy] and harassed her,” describing it as a common occurrence when he drinks.

Aanisah recounted that her boyfriend, Cornel Pearson, tried to intervene during the dispute but Tracy allegedly retaliated by hitting him.

“We waited for the cops to come while he continued to bang on the doors of our rooms looking for confrontation,” Aanisah stated in the court filing, adding that her brother continued to “harass” his relatives and pushed her at one point.

As soon as police arrived, Aanisah was advised to file a restraining order since there was no video evidence of the incident.

Aanisah, who is expecting her first child in September, also noted in a separate document that she doesn’t want her brother to have access to her home.

As for the “I Try” singer, 56, Aanisah says her mother “wants him gone and will confirm.”

On Monday, Tracy shared a photo of his bandaged hand to his Instagram Story with the caption, “It be like that.” It’s unclear if his injury is related to the alleged altercation on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Superior Court granted a temporary restraining order until a court hearing set for Feb. 27, per Page Six.

Gray shares children Aanisah, Tracy, and daughter Happy, 27, with her ex-husband, Tracy Hinds. The two were married from 1996 to 1998.
