LIl Yachty is calling for Lil Durk’s freedom.
In a Instagram Story caught by fanpage Daily Durk, Yachty shared a throwback photo of himself with Durk in a recording studio along with the caption, “FREE @lildurk.”
The pair previously collaborated on songs such as “Homie Bitch” and “Till the Morning.” Yachty shared the photos along with throwbacks of him with 21 Savage, Kodak Black and more as part of a growing trend on social media to reminisce on 2016.
Durk is currently behind bars ahead of his federal murder-for-hire trial, which has a date set for April 21. Durk’s team requested the trial be delayed prior to the date announcement to give time to review discovery, which was granted by a judge.
The trial surrounds the death of Saviay'a Robinson, who was murdered in Atlanta in 2022 after an alleged hit was ordered on her cousin, rapper Quando Rondo. A status hearing for the case is scheduled for February 9.
The rapper, who was arrested in Florida in October 2024, is said to have spent the last few months in solitary confinement after being found in possession of an Apple Watch.
