Lil Uzi Vert is being accused of harassment, workplace misconduct, and more in a new lawsuit.

According to court documents reviewed by Complex, an alleged former personal assistant for Uzi (born Symere Bysil Woods) says she suffered “emotional distress and mental anguish” while assisting him on tour. She also claims she was subject to “unwelcome sexual demands and advances.”

Roc Nation, which manages Uzi, is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit, in addition to the rapper’s company Uzivert, LLC.

In the complaint, Jane Doe claims she was first offered to work as Uzi’s assistant in 2022 after he was supposedly impressed by her service while working at a Balenciaga store in Los Angeles.

Doe claimed she was subject to “intense and demanding to downright hostile and inappropriate” behavior from Uzi and alleged that they harassed her with “unwelcome sexual demands and advances” with the support of his management team.

She included a number of text messages she reportedly received from Uzi, including, “I sent you sumthin on vanish,” “Come rub me down before you leave,” “I’m by myself right now send me something,” and “Let me see that booty.”

Another message read, “You are more than my assistant. You are my bitch.”

Doe claims she worked extremely long hours, sometimes up to 30 hours straight while touring, and was expected to be reachable 24/7. She also says she regularly paid for out-of-pocket work expenses, including Wi-Fi during flights, meals, supplies, and other travel needs.

She alleges that when she asked Uzi’s manager, Amina Diop, for reimbursement or overtime pay, Doe was told she was only entitled to her base salary of $50,000.

In early 2023, she was formally placed on Roc Nation’s management staff to work as an artist management coordinator. After meeting with the company’s CEO, Desiree Perez, Doe’s salary was set at $100,000 “to start,” with the expectation that later performance reviews would adjust her compensation. She claims that those reviews never happened despite repeated requests.

Doe stated that similar compensation issues continued while assisting Uzi during their Pink Tape Tour in 2023. She also claimed that in December of that year, Uzi’s girlfriend, rapper JT (born Jatavia Johnson) began using Doe as her assistant as well, without additional pay.

The plaintiff says she feared rejecting Uzi’s advances, which she says would occur if he was “high on drugs, such as Xanax and Oxycontin,” would jeopardize her career, and that the “emotional distress” required her to begin therapy in January 2024.

Doe claimed the working conditions became unbearable by 2025, leading to what she described as a “constructive discharge,” meaning that she felt she had no choice but to resign.

The woman is seeking unspecified punitive damages for sexual harassment, unpaid overtime, failure to reimburse expenses, emotional and psychological harm, and more.
