Lil Durk's federal murder-for-hire trial has been hit with a request for a delay from prosecutors and three of Durk’s co-defendants.

As seen in court documents viewed by Complex, the request, if granted, would see the trial start date pushed from Jan. 20 to May 4.

While every other defendant requested the delay, Durk—real name Durk Devontay Banks—objected and asked for the trial to proceed as planned.

Court filings describe a massive amount of evidence, including hundreds of gigabytes of digital material, such as audio and video recordings, surveillance footage, more than 30,000 pages of reports and records, photographs, witness statements, medical documents, and other materials.

"The case is so unusual and so complex, due to the nature of the prosecution and the number of defendants that it is unreasonable to expect preparation for pre-trial proceedings or for the trial itself within the time limits established by the Speedy Trial Act," reads the document.

Durk, 33, has remained behind bars since his October 2024 arrest in Florida on accusations that he paid five OTF affiliates to kill Quando Rondo in August 2022. He faces charges including conspiracy, murder-for-hire, and firearm use in a violent crime.

The alleged hit was supposedly in retaliation for the 2020 killing of King Von by Rondo affiliate Timothy "Lul Timm" Leeks. The alleged plot led to the death of Rondo's cousin Saviay'a "Lul Pab" Robinson.

The Grammy winner’s trial had been postponed twice before, including last January and once more in September.

In October, Durk filed to dismiss and disqualify the ongoing federal case. The motion was denied last month.
