Latto’s latest single has some people feeling some type of way about their financial situation.

The 25-year-old rapper’s track “Brokey” arrived on her third studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, released last month. As the title suggests, Latto flaunts on the track about her wealth and affluent lifestyle while speaking on those who don’t measure up with lyrics such as, “Bitches gotta wait ‘til they birthday to go out of town.”

As any true hip-hop fan would know, rap lyrics have always had some form of braggadocio since its inception. Yet for some reason Latto’s “Brokey” has inspired fans on social media to recall some of the times that hip-hop heavyweights have made them reflect on their financial shortcomings.

The Atlanta rapper, who once said she only eats wagyu and not beef, apologized to her hardworking fans who thought she was insulting them and offered a consolation.

“I hate that y’all think I was calling hard workers brokeys 💔 so I got $10k for whoever make the best video at they job to brokey & I’ll fly u out to be in the music video…no mo waiting til ur bday to go outta town. Tag me & hashtag #Brokey so I can see them all,” Latto wrote to her X account on Sunday.
