A person was detained on Wednesday for allegedly attempting to break into Drake's mansion in Toronto.

The Toronto Police Service confirmed the incident in an email to Complex, writing, “Officers were called after a person attempted to gain access to the property. The person was apprehended under the mental health act and taken to get medical assistance.”

No other details on the suspect were made available.

The attempted break-in comes after another incident that occurred late Tuesday night where a security guard was shot outside of the residence while standing outside of the gates in front of Drake’s home. Shortly after, a vehicle fled the scene.

Toronto Police could not confirm Drake was home at the time of the shooting.

Per the Toronto Police Service’s update, the security guard was found “suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.” The man reportedly remains hospitalized with serious injuries. His name still has not been made public.

The investigation of the shooting remains in progress.
