Iggy Azalea says she hasn’t heard from Playboi Carti in a few months.
On Tuesday, the 34-year-old Australian rapper joined streamer Amouranth for a collaborative livestream on Twitch. However, it didn’t take long for fans in the chat to ask Azalea about her estranged ex-boyfriend’s new music.
“Someone's saying tell Playboi Carti to drop,” Azalea said in a clip circulating online. “I don't speak to him, my love. We haven't heard from that man in over like 6 months.”
“We don't know where he is,” she continued. “Have no idea, have no association. You have to tell somebody that that speaks to wherever he is. We don't know or care.”
During a July episode of Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Dinner’s on Me podcast, the “Fancy” rapper said she was not in a co-parenting situation with 28-year-old Carti, and has been raising their son Onyx on her own.
"I'm very much a single mother, I'm very much the only parent," said Azalea at the time. "No disrespect, but I am not co-parenting, really. That's just the reality of it. It's 24/7."
Iggy and Carti seemingly began their relationship in 2018, two years before welcoming Onyx. Azalea accused the Whole Lotta Red rapper of cheating in a series of now-deleted tweets after he didn’t spend Christmas with his son.
