Drake Says He’ll Release New Solo Album ‘When the Time Is Right’

Drizzy, who is currently on tour in Australia, hasn't released a solo album since 'For All the Dogs' in 2023.

Drake teased a new solo album under one condition.

During the second night of his Anita Max Win Tour in Perth, Australia, Drizzy hinted at what’s to come while speaking to fans.

“I got a new album coming out on Valentine's Day with PartyNextDoor. It's called $ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” Drake said on Wednesday night. “And you know, eventually when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y'all.”

“When the time is right, I'll be back with another album, a one-on-one conversation with y'all that you need to hear.”

Drake’s last solo album was For All the Dogs in Oct. 2023, with a Scary Hours Edition released a month later.

A solo Drake album and his forthcoming joint album with PartyNextDoor will mark his first releases since his feud with Kendrick Lamar and others boiled over in 2024.

Drake kicked off the new tour, seemingly referencing last summer’s rap war, by walking into the RAC Arena wearing a hoodie covered in smoking bullet holes.

“My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada,” he said on Tuesday’s opening night concert. “The year is now 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive.”
