DJ Akademiks Says Roc Nation Deposition Focused on ‘Stupid Questions’ About Nicki Minaj and Drake

Akademiks claims lawyers for Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation spent hours asking questions unrelated to the defamation lawsuit filed against Milagro Gramz.

DJ Akademiks is criticizing Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team and Roc Nation for what he described as excessive and irrelevant legal tactics during his deposition in the defamation lawsuit Megan filed against Milagro Gramz.

“Just did my second roc nation Meg thee stallion deposition. That Lawfirm wasting jay z money. This time they tried to act right .. no more Nicki [Minaj] n drake questions,” he wrote. “Shout out to the Jersey federal judge keeping roc nation in line.. they harassing real n***as. I believe Nicki.

“It's no way they think they getting millions from Milagro.. so why spend hundred of thousands to ask stupid questions bout other n***as,” he added. “My thought they got a multi million budget for attorneys to bully anybody who speak against em to try silence em.”

Akademiks then shared his disbelief over the legal team’s supposed obsession with Nicki Minaj and Drake, despite the lawsuit having nothing to do with them.

“Roc nation n meg had to spend over $150k on all the deposition shit wit me they got 10 lawyers on there watchin takin notes the first time and DONT wanna talk bout Milagro or Meg lol they wanted Drake n Nicki lol," he wrote. "Who funding this?? Math ain't makin sense.”

He also claimed prosecutors initially tried to go beyond the seven-hour federal deposition limit but were denied a three hour extension “to ask more shit bout drake Nicki [and] their opps.”

“This how u know roc nation thirsty for info bout drake n Nicki. Max allowable time for a federal civil deposition is 7 hours. I clowned em for 7 hours n they got tight,” Akademiks wrote, stating that the judge allowed only 45 additional minutes and restricted lawyers from asking about Minaj and Drake.

He further mocked the legal theory he believed was being pursued by Megan’s team, which was that Drake, Minaj, and Tory Lanez were somehow funding or coordinating online attacks against the “Mamushi” rapper.

“They might b schizophrenic!” Ak wrote about the insinuation.

“Nicki don't even like me why would Nicki pay Adin [Ross] or me to talk bad bout Meg lol,” he added. “Why they think Drake give af bout a chick who ain't even selling records? Roc nation folks need a mental evaluation.”

Megan Thee Stallion (born Megan Pete) is currently suing blogger Milagro Gramz (real name Milgaro Elizabeth Cooper) for defamation. The rapper alleges Gramz helped carry out a smear campaign funded by Tory Lanez and his father, Sonstar Peterson.

Earlier this month, a federal judge sanctioned Gramz for deleting thousands of text messages that could have been key evidence, calling it “bad faith spoliation.”

The judge ruled that the jury can now assume the missing messages were unfavorable to Gramz’s defense. Gramz was also ordered to pay Megan’s legal fees tied to the discovery issue.

The case has also drawn in other internet figures such as Adin Ross, who previously confirmed that he was subpoenaed in the case via a mariachi band sent to his home.

Ross tried to have the subpoena thrown out by arguing he wasn’t relevant to the case and was improperly served, but the judge rejected his motion on procedural grounds.
