Are Cardi B and Peppa Pig feuding again?
Some fans believe that the rapper’s beef with the beloved animated character might be reignited since Peppa’s mother, Mummy Pig, announced her pregnancy with her third child on Thursday during an interview on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast.
The tension between them dates back to December 2020, when Cardi expressed frustration that her then-two-year-old daughter Kulture was mimicking Peppa’s habit of jumping in puddles and ruining her Uggs.
“My baby been watching peppa pig 🐷 and now Everytime she sees a wetpuddle she wants to stomp on top of it 😒😒That shit gets me so tight,” Cardi tweeted at the time. “FuCkin up her uggs......Deum you peppa pig ...COUNT YOUR FUCKIN DAYS!🤬”
A recent tweet from a Cardi fan account suggested that the long-standing beef had ended, featuring a screenshot of a seemingly fake Peppa Pig account interacting with Cardi on TikTok.
In a now-deleted voice message on X, posted not long after Mummy Pig’s announcement, Cardi seemingly accused Peppa’s camp of using her name for publicity stunts.
"Y'all noticed how bitches were putting fake reports on a fake page that I squashed beef with them?” she said on X. “Mind you, I never even talked to them, never had a conversation with them. All of a sudden, babies [are] on their way?”
“See how people use my name for publicity stunts? I just want y'all to peep game sometimes,” she added.
When asked by a fan who she was referring to, Cardi replied with a series of bacon emojis, which appears to be a reference to the cartoon character.
According to People, Mummy Pig said on the Not Gonna Lie podcast that her baby is due in the summer, adding that her two children, Peppa and George, are excited about becoming older siblings.
"They're just taking everything in their stride, really. Peppa says she's an even bigger sister now and I'm an even bigger mummy," Mummy Pig said on the podcast.
"And, you know, we've had a few big feelings as we call them,” added the fictional character. “But we talk and reassure them when they need it. It's an exciting change, but it is a big one.”
