Bobby Shmurda may have just won a bunch of cash after Zohran Mamdani won the election for New York City mayor.

“Time to throw the house on @kalshi. who do you think winning this shit?” he wrote on his Threads account on Monday (Nov. 3), along with a screenshot showing a bet of $149,328 and a 90% chance odds of winning.

While Shmurda didn’t follow up about the outcome of his bet immediately after Tuesday’s election, he was all smiles in an Instagram Story post shared on Wednesday morning along with an eyes emoji.

In a post shared to his X account on Wednesday, Shmurda wrote, “Kalshi predicted this race ABOUT A WEEK AGO.”

On Tuesday night, Zohran Mamdani was declared the winner of the New York City mayoral race. According to NBC News, the 34-year-old received more than 1 million votes, which secured him a win over former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.

For his victory speech, Mamdani walked out to Ja Rule’s 2004 hit “New York,” which features Fat Joe and Jadakiss. The move was seen as a seemingly playful nod to his bizarre rift with 50 Cent, who has been critical of Mamdani’s proposed plans to increase taxes on the rich.
