Katy Perry continues to make headlines this month for a handful of terrible reasons. The singer made an American Idolcontestant uncomfortable when she gave him his first kiss, and she's currently tied up in an ongoing legal battle against a group of nuns (one of whom died in court) over a piece of land. But if disputing with nuns isn't enough to fill your quota for Katy Perry drama this month, then you’ll be happy to know that she’s still feuding with Taylor Swift. Still? Yep, that seems to be the case given a new snippet from American Idol.
In the clip, a contestant on the show is asked who his favorite artist is. He then apologetically explains to Perry that he loves Taylor Swift. Perry tries to diffuse the conversation by saying that he doesn’t need to apologize. “I love her, as a songwriter, as well,” she stumbles. A weird facial shrug follows this awkward comment. The two singers have been feuding since Swift called Perry an enemy in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone. Since then, the two have taken shots at each other via Twitter, interviews, and in their music (“Bad Blood” and “Look What You Made Me Do” are rumored to be about Perry, while Perry's “Swish Swish” is apparently about Taylor). People on Twitter seem to think this awkward new clip as a sign that the feud isn’t over, but hey, at least Perry likes Swift as a songwriter??
