Too Short Denies Sexual Battery Allegations and Plans to File Countersuit

The rapper is claiming he is being extorted.

Just last week, news that Too Short was being sued for sexual battery began surfacing. Teana Louis said that the rapper sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions throughout 2016, TMZ reported. The suit, which was filed this past Friday in Los Angeles, alleged Too Short forcibly performed oral sex, vaginal sex, and sodomy. Louis is suing for sexual battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, gender discrimination, and false imprisonment.

While speaking to TMZ, Too Short claimed that Louis made the allegations in an attempt to extort the rapper for money. Short maintains that they consensually engaged in foreplay and nothing else. "This is just blatant outright extortion. I'm being extorted [...] It's a lot man. It can only be extortion. It's not anything else. They want money. For a while there, I thought it was something other but now I know for a fact it's all about money. So, my only choice is to counter sue for slander and get a restraining order and anything else to just get this out of my life." Short also contends that the lawsuit is motivated by vengeance as the woman was an artist he was interesting in signing, though the deal end up falling through.

This isn't the first time Too Short has been accused of sexual assault. He responded to previous allegations in March of 2017 writing, "I have NEVER had nonconsensual sex with anyone, ever. I have directed my lawyers to vigorously combat these ridiculous claims." He continued, "I have not been contacted by the LAPD about this matter and doubt I ever will be. If I am, I will direct my lawyers to fully cooperate and turn over 100’s of text messages and other evidence that will prove this woman is falsely accusing me. Thanks for your support."
