UPDATED 2:30 p.m. ET: Royce da 5’9” has now confirmed that Slaughterhouse has broken up. “Done deal. Let’s all move on. It was fun,” he wrote on Twitter.

Last we heard, Slaughterhouse’s long-awaited album Glass House was on the way, and included production by Just Blaze, !llmind, Cardiak, araabMUZIK, and J.U.S.T.I.C.E League. “It’s a work in progress, and it will happen, it’s just about when,” Royce said on an episode of the Grass Routes podcast in 2017. The last album the group released was Welcome to: Our House in 2012 via Shady/Interscope Records.

If you haven't heard, KXNG Crooked of Slaughterhouse announced his departure from the group a few days back via a video he posted to Instagram. He also made sure to make it known that there were no hard feelings. "I got a public service announcement. I'm not longer a part of Slaughterhouse. I'm no longer a part of that collective. It ain't no beef, it's all love. I wish them dudes nothing but success, I mean that."

The other members of Slaughterhouse have been supportive of Crooked's decision. Joell Ortiz took to Twitter to respond to the news.

Royce echoed Ortiz's sentiments. When asked if Slaughterhouse was already disbanded, Royce replied, "No. Not officially, I guess we are now. But, Crooked is my brother, man. He's my brother. I support anything he wants to do. Anything [...] And, it's the same with all the other members. [...] They're family."

In other news, Royce and DJ Premier are headed on tour. The pair will hit the road in late May with their first show slated for May 30 in Philadelphia. The tour will conclude in Los Angeles on June 15. The duo released their album PRhyme 2 back in March of this year.
