Lil Jon Shares New Track and Video for "Ain't No Tellin'" Featuring Mac Dre

"For me, I put Mac Dre right up there with Biggie and ’Pac as legends who have since passed on," Lil Jon said.

Lil Jon has shared "Ain't No Tellin'." The track contains a posthumous feature from Bay Area legend Mac Dre, who died in 2013.

"For me, I put Mac Dre right up there with Biggie and 'Pac as legends who have since passed on," Lil Jon toldXXL. "I woke up one morning and remembered a beat I did for a Janet Jackson remix," Jon said. "She never used it. When I heard his vocals over the beat I was like 'this is it!' I think maybe God had me do that beat for Mac Dre the whole time…that was the reason Janet never used it."

The track was released with the blessing of Mac Dre's mom, Mac Wanda. "I’m more than excited for this record to come out. I’m grateful to Lil Jon and emotional about it as well," she said. "I'm a Lil Jon fan, and my son was a Lil Jon fan, so when he respectfully approached me about this idea there was no way I was going to say no to him."

Diving into the track’s history, Bay Area producer/rapper Da’unda’dogg explained the decades-long journey that brought Jon to the "Ain’t No Tellin" collab. "When me and Dre got home in 1996, we immediately started recording," he said in a press release. "We came up with this one record we just knew would be a good fit for the compilation we heard Too $hort was working on…ironically enough, Jon was on it as well. Of all the vocals Jon got, he picked some from the record Dre wrote to be released by a major label, and 23 years later Lil Jon has completed his goal!"

Listen to "Ain't No Tellin'," which was premiered on 106.1 KMEL, over on Apple Music, below via Spotify, and watch the video up top.
