British singer Jesy Nelson, who was in the girl group Little Mix, has dropped off her new track “Boyz” featuring Nicki Minaj.
The new song, which samples Diddy, Black Rob, and Mark Curry’s 2001 The Saga Continues… track “Bad Boy for Life” also received some visuals. The video pays homage to the original “Bad Boy for Life” visuals and even features a cameo from Diddy.
It’s not the first time that Nicki has linked with Jesy Nelson. The Queen rapper was previously featured on Little Mix’s track “Woman Like Me.”
“Boyz” marks Jesy Nelson’s first solo track since leaving the girl group. Nelson announced her departure from Little Mix back in 2020.
“After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy,” the group said in an announcement posted to social media. “We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being. We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over.”
