J. Cole Raps 'Pray for Tekashi' on 21 Savage's 'i am > i was' Album

Cole mentions the jailed rapper 6ix9ine on the song "a lot."

On Thursday night, 21 Savage dropped his sophomore solo studio album i am > i was. The project, which was stacked with features from Childish GambinoOffset, and Schoolboy Q, also included a verse from J. Cole on the opening track "a lot."

Cole took the opportunity to shout out 6ix9ine and to bring attention to the Brooklyn rapper's current legal predicament. 6ix9ine is currently incarcerated as he awaits trial on racketeering and gun charges. The rapper's trial is scheduled to start on Sept. 4, 2019. He faces up to life in prison.
