On the eve of dropping her much-anticipated “Type Dangerous" music video, Mariah Carey took to social media with a post teasing that she wasn’t quite finished with it yet.

“Working on meeting delivery deadlines (fashionably late, of course)!” the 56-year-old "We Belong Together" singer wrote on Thursday, June 12. In the photo, Carey is seen smiling in a green room with legendary director Joseph Kahn, wearing a low-cut leather dress and diamond earrings.

It’s been quite a week for the songstress and her fans — she dropped her single on June 6, took the stage at the BET Awards June 9, and will premiere her video on Friday, June 13.

Shortly after posting, Carey’s “lambs” — who have been antsy for the new video — went wild.

“Excitedddddddd 🔥❤️,” commented one super-fan.

"You're looking so gorgeous Mimi and I'm so excited about the video 😍😍😍😍,” agreed another.

“OMG WORKING WITH JOSPEH!!!! YAS!!!! AHHHH!” added a third.

Kahn himself took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, June 11 to rev up excitement in a three-part post tagging the musician. “Cancel your booty calls Friday night, you're going to [be] busy watching Type Dangerous,” he wrote. “There will be an earth shattering surprise…I'm not kidding. Brace yourself lol."

Carey has been teasing her new material on Instagram since June 2, when a Reel revealed a close-up of an “MC16” license plate (a nod to her upcoming sixteenth album) and the teaser “What’s your type?” — a clue to the song’s title, which at the time was still four days away.

She teased the casino-themed video on June 9.

At the BET Awards, the “Always Be My Baby” music legend performed and took home the Ultimate Icon Award, the singer/songwriter’s first win. “If you’re gonna get one, might as well start with the Ultimate Icon Award,” she quipped in her acceptance speech, per a June 10 Cosmopolitan report.

“Love and respect yourself,” she added. “Be a diva, be a boss, be anything you wanna be — but be iconic while you’re doing it.”
