Don't Be Surprised If Pop-Tart Sales Skyrocket After This Priceless Lil Uzi Vert Interview

Lil Uzi Vert gave a shoutout to his favorite breakfast treat during a red carpet interview before the Grammys.

Not everyone was thrilled with the results of the 2018 Grammys. Nonetheless, the show featured some incredible moments, including noteworthy performances from Lady Gaga, Logic, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Chapelle, Sam Smith, and more.

The pre-show coverage featured some priceless moments as well—including a hilarious interview with Lil Uzi Vert, who was nominated for Best New Artist. Alessia Cara won that award, as we had predicted.

During Uzi’s interview with E! and red carpet reporter Giuliana Rancic, the 23-year-old Philadelphia rapper was asked, “what’s next for you?” His answer was matter-of-fact.

“Waking up, eating some Pop Tarts,” he responded.

Rancic called it her “favorite interview of the night.” Check out video of the interaction above.

Pop Tarts naturally capitalized on the moment. Free advertising from a marquee name…it’s a marketer’s dream!

When asked what he would do if he were to win the award, Vert said he’d be thinking about everything he’d buy the next day because he likes to shop.

After collaborating with Migos on “Bad and Boujee” in late 2016, Vert saw the track hit No. 1 on the Billboard list in Jan. 2017. In August of that year, he released his debut studio album, Luv Is Rage 2, which included the hit single “XO TOUR Llif3.”
