UFO Hearing: What to Know About Video Seemingly Showing Hellfire Missile Bouncing Off Mysterious Orb

The video was played during a congressional hearing focused on UAPs, a.k.a. UFOs.

A video not believed to have previously been made public was shown during a congressional hearing on UAPs, a.k.a. UFOs, this week.

“We are here today to listen to the stories of those who have witnessed events of interest to the American people and to support the policies that cultivate an environment that welcomes and protects whistleblowers,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a Texas Democrat, said early into Tuesday’s hearing, billed as being aimed, in part, at “restoring public trust through UAP transparency.”

Below, we break down what you need to know as advocates continue to push for answers on what, exactly, may be going on in the skies above us.

Video appears to show UAP undeterred by Hellfire missile

“Enough is enough,” Rep. Eric Burlison, a Missouri Republican, said Tuesday before playing the footage. “I wanna cue up a video that I’ve been given. Before it starts, ’m gonna describe [it]. This was taken October 30th of 2025. This video is of an MQ-9 drone tracking an orb, or this object, off the coast of Yemen. You’ll see that another MQ-9 launched a Hellfire missile. You cannot see that drone. I’m not gonna explain it to you. You’ll see exactly what it does.”

The video appears to show the UAP in question continuing to travel after making impact with the precision-guided missile, which manufacturer Lockheed Martin says is designed with a “multipurpose warhead” for “a broad range of targets.”

In an X update shared after Tuesday’s hearing, Burlison said he had received the video “from a whistleblower,” adding that an independent review is in progress.

What are people saying about the UAP Hellfire video?

George Knapp, a Las Vegas investigative reporter known for his Coast to Coast AM show and extensive interviews with prominent figures in the UAP disclosure space like Tom DeLonge, among others, also spoke at Tuesday’s hearing. Reacting to the video shared by Burlison, Knapp pointed out that he’s not only heard about other events of this nature, but was also previously aware of the same footage.

“We did not have the video, though,” Knapp said Tuesday. “There are servers where there’s a whole bank of these kind of videos that Congress has not been allowed to see, that the public has not been allowed to see. Occasionally, some of that stuff gets out in the wild and it comes our way. It should be going to you. The public should be seeing this stuff, and why you’re not allowed to, I don’t know.”

Knapp expressed befuddlement at this particular video, ultimately asking “What the hell is that?” after highlighting its most baffling moment.

“That’s a Hellfire missile smacking into that UFO and just bounced right off, and it kept going,” he said.

Previous hearings, including this particularly crucial one in 2022, have included warnings that unidentified objects in the sky could pose a “security threat,” regardless of origin.
