Twitter Outage: All Links Not Working in Platform's Latest Stumble

This isn't the first issue to hit the once-smooth site since the Musk takeover. This time around, all links and other media were giving users error messages.

On Monday, as you’ve no doubt experienced firsthand at this point, links on the increasingly Muskified platform were leading users nowhere. More specifically, all links appeared to be effectively broken.

“Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint,” an error message read, in part.

This is what it looked like around 12:20 p.m. ET on Monday, both on desktop and on the iOS app.

Complex has not reached out to a rep for Twitter for comment because there is apparently no longer an actual department in place for such things.

“Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected right now,” a message shared to the Twitter Support account stated after users started reporting the errors, which also affected photos and videos, as well as TweetDeck access. “We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We’re working on this now and will share an update when it’s fixed.”

Musk, meanwhile, addressed this latest stumble by referring to the platform he took over back in October as “brittle.”

Add this to the increasingly long list of Twitter developments in recent months. The performance-related issues experienced by many users have been the subject of numerous headlines, as have reported rounds of layoffs. Just last month, word that access to SMS two-factor authentication would be revoked in the name of money was met with widespread criticism.
