Trump Proposes Fake News Trophy Competition, Fails to Immediately Award It to Self

Trump, a man so unfathomably insecure that he adorns his golf clubs with framed fake Time magazine covers featuring his nauseating face, took time off from publicly supporting an accused child molester Monday morning. His distraction? In a supreme act of irony neither he nor anyone who supports him will notice, Trump has proposed the idea of awarding a FAKE NEWS TROPHY (emphasis via his stupid ass) to the news organization that most refuses to bow at his feet.

Norm Eisen, who served as chief White House ethics lawyer under President Barack Obama, warned Trump over the weekend that a previous tweet in which he made baseless "fake news" claims against CNN could be used as evidence that the Department of Justice's recent AT&T lawsuit was inspired by his personal feelings toward the network.

The DOJ sued to block AT&T's takeover of CNN parent company Time Warner, arguing in Hill-cited documents that the move would violate U.S. antitrust laws. Trump's tweet, Eisen argued, provides fuel for the counterargument that Trump's DOJ is just trying to stick it to CNN.
