Roberto de Jesús Escobar Gaviria, brother to the late drug lord Pablo Escobar, has a flamethrower-related bone to pick with none other than Elon Musk.

Per a riveting TMZ report filed Thursday that includes zero usage of the flame emoji, Escobar's team has claimed that someone from the Musk side of this alleged issue "jacked the idea" of a flamethrower-adjacent device after an engineer visited the family compound in 2017.

These claims are surfacing following the launch of Escobar's propane-fueled "Flamethrower tactical toys," which run at a retail price of $249.

"I want the people to be able to burn money, like me and Pablo used to do," he said in a press release. "I burned probably a couple of billion dollars over the years. Literally burning the money. For many reasons. The Escobar Inc Flamethrower will sell out very fast."

As you'll recall, early 2018 brought the launch of The Boring Company's Not a Flamethrower, which apparently serves as inspiration for the possible legal action Thursday's report claimed Escobar and company were pondering against Musk's team.

Allegedly, in a statement added in a subsequent update to the TMZ story, Musk responded to these claims in a succinct manner.

"It's Not a Flamethrower, Mr. Escobar," he reportedly said.

In other Musk news, he recently suggested the addition of Spotify integration for Tesla users frustrated by the current options. A slew of other possible Tesla boosts have also been teased in recent weeks.
