Danish Politician Campaigns on Pornhub Because That's 'Where the Voters Are'

Visitors to the esteemed site were met with a surely disruptive campaign ad from the former Olympic shot putter.

The voters are on Pornhub, and Joachim B. Olsen would like to reach them.

The Danish politician and former Olympic shot putter has confirmed he took out an ad on the wildly popular locale for an assortment of adult entertainment, per CNN. The ad sees visitors being encouraged to cast a vote for the center-right Liberal Alliance party MP after they've completed whatever it is they're doing on Pornhub.

In a weekend interview with the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Olsen—who considers his campaign approach "95 percent serious"—claimed the results have been largely positive thus far.

"You have to go out everywhere, and then we thought it might be fun to make an ad on Pornhub," he said. "So half of the internet is porn. And you have to be where the voters are." The ad is estimated to have cost about $450, with the impending Danish vote set for June 5.
