Big Meech has spoken out amid so-called “snitching” claims circulating on social media, telling fans in a video shared to Instagram that he “never folded’ and “never will.”
In the clip, seen below, Meech also mentioned the upcoming Welcome Back Legacy Concert in Florida, which is set for this Thursday with performers including 21 Savage and Sexyy Red.
“I wasn’t gonna address this, because I’m not trying to let nobody trick me off the streets,” the Black Mafia Family co-founder, who was released from prison last October, said. “But I never folded, never told, never will. Death before dishonor, always, with me. So I’m doing this for my loved ones and the support of my friends and family. Come out to the Amerant Arena Feb. 13.”
50 Cent, never one to miss an opportunity to offer his own commentary, was particularly quick to respond to Meech’s statement with not one but two IG updates of his own. As previously reported, Fif has been quite vocal about Meech in recent weeks, frequently suggesting that he’s a snitch.
In an update on Monday, 50 shared a video of himself reacting to Meech’s latest clip.
“He can’t even go!” 50, who produced the Starz series BMF (starring Meech’s son), said. “He’s on house arrest. He can’t even go!”
In the caption of one of his two updates, Fif elaborated on this argument, asking, “If the artist on the bill don’t show up, are you gonna want a refund?”
Following his move into community confinement last October, Meech is set for a full release in January of next year. His lengthy prison stint began after a drug trafficking and money laundering conviction in 2008.
In a statement shared with the Associated Press last year, Brittany K. Barnett, a legal rep for Meech, looked ahead at a “new chapter” for the 56-year-old while acknowledging there was “much work” to be done with regards to bettering the U.S. justice system.
