Biden Estimates '10 to 15 Percent' of Americans Are 'Just Not Very Good People'

Joe Biden, whilst criticizing Trump's rotting shit-for-brains rhetoric, has estimated that the U.S. currently has a "10 to 15 percent" chunk of the population that's comprised of people who are "just not very good."

Biden's comments came during a virtual town hall with Don Cheadle on Thursday, with the former VP noting that the words spoken by a POTUS carry a great deal of weight, specifically with regards to how those words can unite or divide a country.

"The words a president says matters," Biden said, as seen around the 21-minute mark in the archived video below. "So when a president stands up and divides people all the time, you're gonna get the worst of us to come out, the worst in us all to come out. If a president talks about equality without lecturing and has an administration that looks like the rest of the country, it changes attitudes. It's about the attitude of the country. Do we really think this is as good as we can be as a nation?"

Explaining that he doesn't believe "the vast majority of people" think this is the U.S. at its best, Biden continued:

"There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people," he said. "But that's not who we are. The vast majority of people are decent. We have to appeal to that and unite people."

Biden's "10 to 15 percent" quote will surely garner poorly worded criticism from the same people who took offense to say, "basket of deplorables." But who gives a fuck?
