Pastor Says He Was 'Counseling' Naked, Bound Man Found in His Car

Pennsylvania pastor George Nelson Gregory was caught by police with a bound, naked man in his car on a public street, but he refutes claims that there was anything more than "counseling" going on and says he has "nothing to hide," according to Penn Live.

Last Friday, local police responded to a report about a suspicious parked vehicle and found Gregory in the car's back seat with a naked man bound with rope in the front. A witness filed a criminal complaint and told police the naked man had gotten out of the car at some point, in plain view of their daughter's bedroom window. Gregory responded that the two were "just playing" and met up from "time to time to play with each other," and the other man confirmed whatever was going on was fully consensual. He also told police that even though this was taking place on the side of a well-lit residential street, he saw the location as private. This is a conversation Gregory now says never happened.

The 61-year-old pastor told KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh that he was simply "counseling a young man with a drug problem," insisting that things did get weird but that it was "not his doing." He later added, "I was adamant that I'm not participating in that way. And so that's when the police pulled up, and they assume things, but I'm standing by my story. It's not true." Pointing out that he was found completely clothed when police arrived on the scene, the pastor feels like his charge of open lewdness and indecent exposure is unwarranted. "I won't deny that he began to take his clothes off and propositioned me," he explained. "but I will deny, on a stack of Bibles with God as my witness, that I did nothing,"

Gregory and the other unidentified man are set to get a summons for open lewdness and indecent exposure.
