A Washington man is facing at least one felony charge and his passenger has been hospitalized with multiple injuries after the pair veered off the road and struck a tree while allegedly attempting to have sex in a moving car. Logistical complications aside, there was also the matter of a three-month-old child who was in the backseat (but was thankfully not injured).
The incident happened at approximately 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, and according to the Everett Herald, “witnesses told responding troopers both the man and woman were naked when they left the vehicle.” Other witnesses said they saw the couple attempting to flee the scene.
As for the matter striking the tree, Kenny Ocker of the News Tribune provided the details:
Bova told the Independent she believed the couple was scrambling to locate their clothes before police arrived.
“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Bova added.
The male suspect is facing charges of child endangerment, vehicular assault, and felony driving under the influence. According to Bova, he has three prior DUI convictions.
The woman was identified as the mother of the child, and likely won’t be winning any awards for her exemplary parenting. She was reportedly hospitalized with multiple broken bones.
