Saturday brought the latest tweet storm from President Donald Trump, which presumably happened en route to Mar-a-Lagoor some other golf course. Things began when Trump attacked New York TimesWhite House correspondent Maggie Haberman.

The Commander-in-Chief referred to Habermanas a “third rate reporter” and a “Crooked H flunkie.” For comparison’s sake, Haberman has won a Pulitzer prize for her work, and Trump frequently includes typosand factual errors in his tweets. Saturday’s rant also featured the President defending his embattled lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Trump called Cohen a “fine person with a wonderful family.” That would be the same Michael Cohen who went on record as paying adult actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 as part of a non-disclosure agreement to keep silent about an alleged tryst with Trump.

Despite being praised by Trump’s tiny Twitter fingers, it has been an eventful month for Cohen. On April 9, the F.B.I. raided Cohen’s office and hotel room. Authorities reportedly targeted records, emails, and documents related to Cohen’s six-figure payment to Daniels, among other items.

As for Haberman, her Pulitzer win was for reporting on Trump’s alleged ties to Russian officials compromising the 2016 Presidential Election. And while it’s not the first time Trump has directly attacked a citizen via Twitter, his previous missives directed at JemeleHill and Stephen Curry would seem to indicate he repeatedly targets members of marginalized groups.
