Donald Trump's Doctor Reportedly Spent 5 Minutes Writing His Health Report

A report from NBC News published Saturday shows that Donald Trump's longtime physician took only five minutes to write the four-paragraph letter that declared Trump would be "the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."

Harold Bornstein reportedly told NBC that Trump sent a limo to his Manhattan office, where it waited while Bornstein wrote the report. Bornstein also said that he didn't proofread the letter and would usually never use such hyperbolic language in a patient's medical file, but could justify what he wrote because "all the rest of [the U.S. presidents] are either sick or dead."

Before the report was released in December, Trump assured voters his medical records would show "perfection."

"I think I picked up his kind of language and then just interpreted it to my own," Bornstein told NBC in the interview, where he reportedly toned down how effusively he praised Trump's health. "I don't think he's in any better or worse than the average person that goes and exercises every single day [... Trump] doesn't smoke, doesn't drink — and that's simply the best advantage you can have to live — and he's got a good family history."

According to CNN, Bornstein, who claims he's a member of the College of American Gastroenterology, has not actually belonged to the organization for 20 years.

NBC's report comes as the Trump campaign has drawn criticism for perpetuating rumors (which have been thoroughly debunked) about Hillary Clinton's mental and physical stamina.
