Some might call it a Christmas miracle.

Police in Little Rock, Arkansas discovered a woman on Christmas morning who they said swam to safety after being thrown into the frigid Arkansas River off a bridge.

KATV reports, the unnamed 42-year old victim was kidnapped during a home invasion by 33-year old Richard Gilliam who faces charges for attempted capital murder, capital murder, and kidnappings.

The good news, this superhuman was somehow able to go through this entire traumatic experience, swim herself all the way to safety, all while suffering from hypothermia. The water in the river at the time she was thrown in was reportedly roughly 32 degrees. That's freezing temperature. Thankfully, she is currently being treated and recovering at a local hospital.

According to Little Rock Police, the woman was kidnapped after witnessing a shooting where two people were shot and one was killed. Gilliam is currently being held in jail on $1 million bond. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect involved with the robbery and shooting.
