From “Beautiful Soul” to beautiful baby, Jesse McCartney’s newest arrival is here and fans are obsessed.
On Tuesday, June 17, the 38-year-old “Body Language” singer and wife Katie Peterson introduced their firstborn, Archer James McCartney, to the world.
Born May 7 — three months ahead of schedule — their son made his debut in a joint Instagram post featuring a carousel of sweet newborn pics.
“Archer James McCartney took center stage on 5/7/25 💙🏹,” wrote the couple, who tied the knot in 2021 after nearly a decade together. “Our sweet Archie couldn’t wait to meet us and arrived a bit earlier than expected. We are so in love with him.”
The photos show Archer in a white onesie with his name stitched across the front, wrapped in a custom blanket, and swaddled beside a teddy bear — plus one candid shot mid-sneeze. “Enjoy some cute pictures of our little fighter,” they added.
Shortly after the photos went up, the comments section turned into a full-blown fan frenzy.
"Archer! Archer! Archer! 🏹," one person wrote.
“I was just saying I hope you’re doing OK because I have not seen you post or comment on anything. He is beautiful and I’m glad you’re both healthy,” another added.

In other exciting news, the Alvin and the Chipmunks actor is set to headline Chicago Pride Fest this weekend. The two-day celebration runs June 21–22 in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood, and McCartney will perform alongside artists like Deborah Cox, The Aces, and Aluna.
After word got out that the "Beautiful Soul" singer would be performing, the internet did what it does best — react.
