Down in Houston, Texas, a teacher has been charged with a felony for punching a second grade student at school.

According to KTRK, 48-year-old Lisa Allison is no longer working with Alief Independent School District after she allegedly punched a second grader in a hallway of Landis Elementary School in southwest Houston.

The second grade student was reportedly being noisy in class, so Allison asked him to leave the classroom. Once out in the hallway, the child reportedly started kicking lockers, at which point Allison stepped out of her classroom to take him to the office.

The teacher evidently told the boy, "I'm tired of you," according to KHOU. Surveillance video from Oct. 12, when the incident occurred, then shows Allison trying to grab the boy by the hand. When the boy pulled his hand away, a struggle ensued, at which point Allison grabbed him by the upper back near his neck and punched him "with a closed fist on the right side of his face," according to KPRC.

Allison then forced the boy to the ground and sat on his back so he couldn't move. When school administrators found the teacher, they "clearly saw Allison's knee in the student's back."

Administrators ordered Allison to get off of the boy. While the teacher's actions were "causing him pain," the boy was reportedly calm when he got up and was escorted the rest of the way to the office.

Allison was "immediately placed on leave when allegations were brought to the attention of campus and district administrators and will not return," according to Alief ISD officials.

On top of losing her job, Allison has been charged with felony injury to a child. She faces 180 days to two years in jail, in addition to a fine of up to $10,000 if convicted, according to the Washington Post.
