President Donald Trump seems pretty convinced that he’s not going to heaven.
The 79-year-old president made his most recent comment about his afterlife prospects while responding to a question from Fox News' Peter Doocy aboard Air Force One on Sunday (Oct. 12).
"I'm being a little cute," Trump told reporters. "I don't think there's anything going to get me in heaven."
The admission came days after photojournalist Tim Watson captured the president appearing to have devil horns.
"I really don't. I think I'm not maybe heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One," Trump continued. "I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make heaven, but I've made life a lot better for a lot of people."
Doocy had asked if brokering a peace deal between Israel and Hamas would improve the president’s chances of seeing the pearly gates—though Trump’s eagerness for a deal seems just as motivated by a Nobel Peace Prize as paradise.
In August, Trump said he was “really at the bottom of the totem pole” when it came to entrance to heaven but that he hoped inserting himself in a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine would change his standings.
“If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty—I want to try to get to heaven if possible," he said at the time.
