Tesla’s Optimus Robot Reveal Inspires Hilarious Memes About Blunt Rolling, Waiting in Sneaker Lines, and More

Tesla’s latest innovation has received the meme treatment.

The Elon Musk-owned auto company made headlines last week after sharing the first look at its highly anticipated Optimus bot. The bug reveal went down during Tesla’s “We, Robot” event at Warner Bros. Studios, where the humanoid automatons interacted with guests, handed out gift bags and drinks, and even danced the night away.

“We’ve made a lot of progress with Optimus,” Elon said during the event as a group of robots walked onto the stage. “As you can see, we started up with someone in a robot suit… and then we’ve progressed dramatically year after year. So if you extrapolate this, you’re really going to have something spectacular, something that anyone could own. So you can have your own personal R2-D2, C-3PO.”

Musk predicted the robots would be sold anywhere between $20,000 and $30,000, about the price of a mid-tier car.

“It’ll do basically anything you want,” he continued. “It can walk your dog, mow your lawn, get groceries...be your friend. Anything you can think of, it will do. It’ll be awesome.”

The wide of possibilities set off a wave of countless memes, with people envisioning just how easier life would be with a humanoid robot. People fantasized about using the machines as 24/7 blunt rollers, personal queue standers, and even unsuspecting drug smugglers.
