A popular YouTuber has been arrested after an alleged attack on his girlfriend.
According to TMZ, internet personality Kid Kypree was hit with a felony domestic violence charge after a viral video appeared to show him repeatedly punching a woman in a bedroom.
According to the police affidavit, the woman says she and Kid Kypree, legal name Kypree Darnell Taylor, began arguing about “something stupid.”
Police said the 31-year-old suspect fled the scene on foot when they arrived but was apprehended nearby. Authorities said they found the victim with severe swelling around her cheeks and eyes.
The attack reportedly occurred in Battle Creek, Michigan, on Sunday, two days before Kid Kypree was taken into custody. The 31-year-old was booked into Calhoun County Jail on a felony domestic violence charge.
According to the Calhoun County Jail records, Kid Kypree’s bond was set at $25,000, and his first court date is scheduled for April 16.
TMZ reported that Kid Kypree has at least one prior domestic assault conviction.
Kid Kypree’s YouTube channel has more than 260,000 subscribers. Most of his videos are short comedic skits about relationships. His most recent upload was Jan. 3, 2023.
