Vivian Jenna Wilson has broken her silence.
The 20-year-old trans woman took to Threads on Wednesday (July 24) to debunk recent claims by her estranged father, Elon Musk. Wilson specifically addressed a July 22 X post in which the tech mogul referred to Vivian by her deadname and repeatedly misgendered her.
The billionaire claimed Wilson was “born gay and slightly autistic, two attributes that contribute to gender dysphoria.”
“I knew that from when he was about 4 years old and he would pick out clothes for me to wear like a jacket and tell me it was ‘fabulous!’ as well as his love of musicals & theatre,” Musk wrote. “But he was not a girl.”
Wilson dismissed the anecdote as “entirely fake” and “a last-ditch attempt to garner sympathy points.”
“Literally none of this ever happened. Ever,” she wrote. “I don’t even know where he got this from. My best guess is that he went to the Milo Yiannopoulis school of gay stereotypes, just picked some at random and said ‘eh- good enough.’”
She continued: “I did not have a ‘love of musicals & theatre’ when I was four, because y’know… I was fucking four. I did not know what these things were… I never picked out jackets for him to wear and I was most certainly not calling them ‘fabulous’ because literally what the fuck. I did not use the word fabulous when I was four because once again I would like to reiterate… I was four. Like this is so obvious I don’t even think it warrants explanation but apparently people believe this nonsense so here I am.”
Wilson said Musk didn’t know what she was like as a child because he was a mostly absent father.
“In the little time that he was [around], I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness,” she continued. “Obviously he can’t say that, so I’ve been reduced to a happy little stereotype f*g-ing along to use at his discretion. I think that says alot about how he views queer people and children in general.”
Wilson’s response came just days after Musk’s controversial sit-down with conservative commentator/psychologist Jordan Peterson. The Tesla CEO claimed his daughter was “killed” after she received gender-affirming care, and said anyone who promotes such treatments should be sent to prison.
“I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys,” Musk told the Daily Wire founder. “This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion and I was told (Wilson) might commit suicide… I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead.”
Musk said he was committed to “destroy[ing] the woke mind virus.”
Wilson blasted her father over the comments, which she described as a self-own.
“I’ve just started to find it funny at this point,” she wrote. “Calling me dead on a podcast with JORDAN PETERSON of all people while basically admitting you have zero reading comprehension by saying you were ‘tricked’ into signing documents that you read over multiple times is basically a parody of itself. Like it’s honestly camp.”
Wilson cut ties with Musk in 2022 when she filed to change her name and gender. In her petition, the then-18-year-old said she “no longer live[d] with or wish[ed] to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form.”
