The New York Post is reporting that the NYPD is investigating Harvey Weinstein after a woman claims that the movie mogul sexually assaulted her more than a decade ago.

Late last week, Lucia Evans, 34, filed a complaint claiming Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him inside his Tribeca office. The alleged incident occurred in 2004, however, the matter was protected by a 2006 law which "removed that restriction and allowed charges to be brought at any time," per The Post.

Evans initially revealed her attack while she was an aspiring actress who was attending Middlebury College in a New Yorker piece published last week. Weinstein introduced himself to her at Soho's Cipriani Upstairs club in 2004. When the two discussed her potential career options prior to her scheduled sit-down with a casting executive at his former Miramax production company, Evans claims that's when the incident took place.

"At that point, after that, is when he assaulted me," she said. "I said, over and over, 'I don't want to do this, stop, don’t….He’s a big guy. He overpowered me."

NYPD has launched a criminal investigation following several reports of sexual abuse. They released the following statement:

A publicist for Weinstein has responded to these allegations with the same statement: "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein."
