The NRA Is Going Off About Kim Kardashian's Robbery on Twitter

The NRA seemingly thought now was the right time to give its unsolicited opinion about Kim Kardashian West being held up at gunpoint.

The NRA has chosen the day after Kim Kardashian West being held up and robbed at gunpoint to push their own agenda attempt to make a point about gun laws.

"Wait, criminals held @KimKardashian at gunpoint in Paris? How is that possible? Does anyone know if they passed a background check first?" the organization wrote on Twitter. "It's shocking that these criminals did not subject themselves to Paris' strict #guncontrol laws before committing this awful crime."

The internet took notice and is already firing back at the NRA on Twitter. "And these are the people always accusing liberals of politicizing everything," one Twitter user commented, while another was quick to call back to the death of Philando Castile who was licensed to carry a weapon and was shot dead by police. "You guys do anything about those black legal gun owners who were shot by the police yet? Nah didn't think so."

This actually isn't the first time the NRA has gone after Kim. If you remember, NRA radio show host, Cam Edwards of Cam & Company, criticized Kim's advocacy for safer gun laws since she also employs a security team. "I think it's disgusting that at the same time [Kardashian West is] calling for strengthening gun laws in America, she's utilizing her celebrity status to have armored tanks and armored vehicles carry her family around with teams of armed body guards. Its just flat-out hypocrisy," he said.

One Twitter user kept it 100, reminding the NRA what was actually at stake here. "She's a person who could have died you monsters," the user wrote.

When faced with criticism for their tweets, the NRA responded that they the organization "expresses concern, as well as confusion that criminals in Paris were armed in the first place."
