Donald Trump's White House communications director, Jason Miller has reportedly stepped down from the president-elect's team. While Miller attributed his reason for leaving to needing to focus on his family, new reports suggest his departure had everything to do with an alleged adultery scandal.

In an official statement to the NY Daily News, Miller explained why he would need to distance himself from the Trump administration. "It’s clear they need to be my top priority right now, and this is not the time to start a new job as demanding as White House communications director," he said in relation to his family. "I look forward to continuing to support the President-elect from the outside after my work on the transition concludes," Miller said. Miller's wife is reportedly pregnant with their second child, CNN confirms.

Sure, there is nothing more precious than someone prioritizing their family above all else, but a series of deleted tweets from Trump's transition adviser A.J. Delgado indicated that Miller's alleged creeping was what really prevented him from taking on the new role. The deleted posts reportedly alleged that Miller had an adulterous relationship with her. "Congratulations to the baby-daddy on being named WH Comms Director," she said. "The 2016 version of John Edwards," she continued, referencing the ex-Democratic senator who fathered a baby by his mistress. Before deleting her rant and Twitter account altogether, Delgado also called for Miller to resign. It looks like she got her wish.

In the wake of Miller's resignation, Sean Spicer, who was originally named the White House press secretary last week, will reportedly take over Miller's responsibilities as communications director. Spicer has reportedly served as the communications director of the Republican National Committee since 2011.
